End User License Agreement

This is a license agreement between you and IndexCore for your use of the IndexCore Android app ("Software").

1. License Grant

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to install and run the Software on a compatible device you own or control. The Software is licensed, not sold.

2. Restrictions

  • Don't decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the Software's source code.
  • Don't distribute modified builds or represent them as official releases.
  • Don't attempt to bypass authentication or access controls.

3. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for device issues, storage loss, or third-party service rate limits arising from your use of the Software.

DMCA & Intellectual Property Policy

IndexCore respects copyright. This applies to two kinds of content on the Service: user-posted comments, and catalog content (cover art, artwork, and metadata) sourced from third-party data providers, some of which is itself user-contributed on those providers' own platforms.

1. Submitting a Claim

If you believe a comment or a piece of catalog artwork on IndexCore infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to [email protected] including:

  • Your signature (physical or electronic).
  • Identification of the copyrighted work.
  • The location of the infringing content (a link to the specific comment, or the specific title/catalog page).
  • Your contact information.
  • A good-faith statement that the use isn't authorized.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate.

2. Repeat Infringement

We remove comments containing unauthorized material. Repeat offenders face account termination.

3. Catalog Artwork

IndexCore's catalog pulls cover art and metadata from third-party data providers to populate titles automatically; we don't independently verify the copyright status of each image. Upon a valid takedown notice, we will promptly remove the specific image from the catalog entry.

Cookie & Local Caching Policy

1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

We set session cookies to keep you signed in to the web app and secure your session. These don't track you outside our domain and expire automatically.

2. Local Caching

The app caches media metadata and poster art locally (SQLite on Android) so it doesn't need to redownload assets on every load. You can clear this in the app's own settings.

Support & Contribution Policy

1. Google Play Subscriptions

Index Core+ premium status can be purchased as a recurring subscription through Google Play, billed and managed by Google under their own terms and refund policy.

2. Patreon Backing

Supporting IndexCore via Patreon is voluntary. In return, backer tiers receive premium status — leaderboard participation and real-time cross-platform sync.

3. Non-Refundable

Contributions through Patreon are subject to Patreon's own terms and are generally non-refundable, except as required by law.
